Bible, Life and Worship: International Conference at the Deutsches Liturgisches Institut in Trier and Maria Laach Abbey

The upcoming International Conference on “Bible, Life, and Worship: The Liturgical and Biblical Movements in the German-Speaking Area and the US in Comparison” will take place from June 2 to June 5, 2025, at the Deutsches Liturgisches Institut in Trier and Maria Laach Abbey, Germany.

This conference will bring together scholars to explore the historical development, key figures, and transatlantic connections of the Liturgical and Biblical Movements. Discussions will examine the transformation of the Liturgical Movement in the United States, the relationship between the Liturgical and Biblical Movements, the contributions of women in both movements, and the influence of these movements on preaching and theology.

A public lecture will be held on June 3 at 19:00 at the Deutsches Liturgisches Institut in Trier. Professor Dr. Michael Witczak will present on “The Spirituality of the Liturgical Movement.” A reception will follow.

The registration fee is โ‚ฌ25, with an option that includes meals for โ‚ฌ161. Participation via livestream is free of charge. The deadline for registration is May 19, 2025.
