Doxology: Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto…

The Solemnity of the Trinity doesn’t have an octave, but in case you’re still in a Trinitarian mood, here is “Doxology” sung by last year’s National Catholic Youth Choir,ย under master conductor Dr. Axel Theimer, ably accompanied byย grad liturgy student Chris Angel. NCYC commissioned it from composer Kevin Vogt.

For chant geeks, the Mode VIII solemn toneย Kevin uses is theย ‘corrected version’ based on St. Gall ms. 381.
