Vatican Unveiled Show in Twin Cities

By Staff, January 8, 2026

Ever find yourself longing to gaze upon the very microphone used by Pope Pius XII for his radio appearances? Or maybe you’ve spent many an afternoon pondering over what the fabric of Pope Pius IX’s cassock looks like up close?

Now’s your chance.

The Vatican Unveiled exhibition opens this Saturday, January 10, at the Mall of America, and will feature over 300 papal artifacts on display in a 19,000 square foot space. The exhibition is curated by Father Richard Kunst, a priest of the Diocese of Duluth, who, according to the press release, “has a deep knowledge of the items and a passion for telling their stories.”

The show is hosted and sponsored by the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, and is presented in honor of the 175th anniversary of the Catholic Church in Minnesota.

Tickets are $25 pre-sale; $30 once the event begins and can be secured here.

A Swiss guard helmet, included in the exhibition. Photo comes from the Vatican Unveiled media kit.
