We’re pleased to introduce Visio Divina — a new series offering the opportunity for a prayerful, intentional pause in the midst of your day. It’s an invitation to reflect on sacred imagery, encountering God through beauty.
The Christmas season is a wild ride for most folks, so we hope this invitation to enjoy a quiet, peace-full few moments lands in the way it is intended: with love.
The second image in this series is The Holy Family with the Young Saint John the Baptist, a painting done by Andrea del Sarto in 1528, part of the permanent collection at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
