Two New Saints, Two Paths to Holiness

By Lucy Lyngen September 9th, 2025

The Catholic Church just canonized two new Saints, and their stories are seriously inspiring. Saint Carlo Acutis and Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati were pillars of what it truly means to spread the joy of the Gospel. Saints aren’t just figures from the past; they are real-life examples of how to live a life of purpose, love, and faith right now.

The canonization took place on September 7. St. Peter’s Square filled with people from all over the world, buzzing with excitement and joy. Pope Leo XIV celebrated Mass, inviting all the faithful to rejoice in the lives of Carlo and Pier Giorgio. Click here to watch from Catholic News Service regarding the special day.

The saints aren’t just historical figures; they are role models. Their lives show us that holiness is possible for everyone, no matter where we are in life. How do their stories resonate with you? Maybe Carlo’s tech-savviness inspires you to use your own skills for a higher purpose. Perhaps Pier Giorgio’s adventurous spirit encourages you to find God in the great outdoors. How can you apply their lessons to your own life and grow closer to God?
