The Archdiocese of Indianapolis will host several key events to celebrate the Season of Creation. On September 4, 2025, a Mass for the Season of Creation will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle in Fortville, Indiana, with Archbishop Thompson presiding. This event will be followed by light refreshments and opportunities for fellowship.
On September 13, 2025, two significant events are scheduled:
1. The Pilgrimage of Hope at Touch the Earth Land Trust in Columbus, organized by the St. Bartholomew Care for Our Common Home Ministry. This event will feature a sacred walk centered on themes of faith and ecological stewardship.
2. The St. Francis Canticle of Creatures at SS. Francis & Clare in Greenwood, hosted by the People of Peace Secular Franciscan Fraternity. This free, day-long event will include reflection and spiritual pilgrimage inspired by St. Francis.
The Archdiocese also encourages community involvement in various activities, such as pilgrimages, pet blessings, and storytelling. Additional prayer and liturgical resources are also provided, they can be found here.
The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in Redlands, CA will host a Creation Clean- Up Event on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 8:45 am to 11:30 am. Registration can be found here.
The Sisters of Saint Joseph Motherhouse in St Augustine, FL is hosting a morning reflection titled “Seeds of Peace and Hope in the Garden” on Saturday September 13 form 9:30 am to 11:30 am. There is a $20 registration fee, more information can be found here.
