Pope Francis’s message for the 59th World Day of Social Communications invites journalists and communicators to “share with gentleness the hope that is in your hearts.” [1] In the spirit of the Jubilee Year of Hope, we are called to be “Communicators of Hope.” The Pope emphasizes the need to disarm communication, urging us to account for the hope within us with gentleness, to share in this hope, and to always keep the heart at the center of our message.
In Pope Francis’s words: “Hope is a hidden virtue, tenacious and patient. For Christians, it is not an option but a necessary condition.”
