Cardinal McElroy Appointed Washington’s New Archbishop

Pope Francis has appointed appointed Cardinal Robert McElroy as the new Archbishop of Washington, D.C., succeeding the retiring Cardinal Wilton Gregory. McElroy, previously the Bishop of San Diego, is recognized for his progressive views and alignment with Pope Francis’ vision for the Church. He has been a vocal advocate for migrants, environmental issues, and a more inclusive approach toward LGBTQ+ individuals. Full article here.
