GOSPEL COMMUNION: 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

October 30, 2022 : 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

The antiphon comes directly from today’s Gospel, the story of Zacchaeus up the sycamore tree, with its final acclamation (Luke 19:9) from Jesus’ own lips:

“Today salvation has come to this house!”

We also rejoice that the saving Bread of the Eucharist is our food in this house today.

The psalm verses (Psalm 16:1-2. 5-11) continue the theme of thanksgiving to God, taking their cue from the Communion antiphon (Ps 16:10) in the Roman Missal and Graduale:

You will show me the path of life,
the fullness of joy in your presence, O Lord.

A demo recording will be found here.
