Today’s Gospel focuses on Peter’s declaration of faith:

Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. (John 6:68)

Psalm verses are large extracts from John 6, combining “I am the bread of life” with “I am the word of life”.

Sung during the procession to receive communion, this simple eight-word refrain allows us to profess our faith in the Lord we receive.
