New Book from Mike Joncas

At the risk of turning Pray Tell from a house on prayer to a den of thieves, I’d like to announce the publication of my latest book, On Eagle’s Wings: A Journey through Illness toward Healing. It organizes the story of my bout with Guillain-Barre Syndrome back in 2003-2004 into five stages and includes reflections on each of these stages for those suffering a major and/or chronic illness and those who care for them. URLs are also provided so that readers can listen to some of my more recent compositions arising from the emotional and spiritual struggles of each stage. What may be of most interest to Pray Tell readers are my analysis of how the illness changed my understanding of the Anointing of the Sick, the Eucharist, and my daily prayer patterns.
