Michael Silhavy Becomes Senior Editor at GIA

mikesilhavyAs of today Michael Sihavy has moved into the role of Senior Editor at GIA, the company announced.

Michael brings a wealth of experience from his thirty years of service in the field of church music. He has been Associate Senior Editor at GIA since 2014. In his new position he will be responsible for setting the overall direction of GIA’s sacred music publications. “I am honored to be entrusted with this position,” he said, noting that it will afford him the opportunity to work with GIA composers even more closely.

David Anderson, who has served as Senior Editor for the past five years, will continue to work as Editor-at-Large for GIA while serving as music director of Ascension parish in Oak Park IL, and pursing post-graduate studies at CTU as a Bernardin scholar.

Congratulations and good luck to both Michael and David!
