New Pope Video released, with Prayer Intentions for February

The second Pope Video for the monthly papal prayer intentions has been published. The Pope’s prayer intention for February focusses on the care of creation.

On the Apostleship of Prayer website, one can also sign up to receive the monthly videos, as soon as they appear, in one’s e-mail Inbox. I just did. There is something very endearing about hearing the Pope speak his native Spanish.  The message is simple, and heartfelt.

“There is something very endearing about hearing the Pope speak his native Spanish.”

I read that he’s using Spanish in these videos — instead of Italian, which is his usual go-to language for such papal messages — because that, as his mother tongue, is the language in which he prays.

    Very endearing indeed.
