Will these events be archived somewhere so that those of us who must be at work can access them at a later time?

How exciting! I’m not able to go to NPM this year – I’ll enjoy catching some of these. Thank you.

Thank You for doing this, I am not able to go to NPM this year, awaiting the birth of our second child. This is a great way to stay connected! And what a great website!

Thank you for making the broadcasts available. I have great respect for NPM and how they have benefitted music ministries all over the world. These sessions look as if they promise good information and, as always, inspiration.
PrayTell proves its worth once again.

Those roundtable discussions are not actually NPM events, are they (as in, in the brochure?)

Where will they take place and will an audience be able to watch them AT NPM?

      Dave,

You have no idea how happy your comment makes me. Here’s a brief reply. (Anthony may want to say more.)

No, the Pray Tell roundtable discussions are not part of the NPM program. To access them, you’d need a laptop or tablet or other device that will get Pray Tell on line.

NPM has been very gracious in allowing us to live stream from the convention floor, but our roundtable discussions are purely our own programming for the Pray Tell audience. It’s great having so many people together at the convention, so we are taking advantage of that fact by having discussions with some of them.

The reason your question made my day is that when we were planning this, my own hope was that our discussion topics would be SO INTERESTING that EVEN PEOPLE AT THE CONVENTION would want to run off to their laptops or tablets and tune in. (That remains to be seen, but it was my hope.) So thanks for asking! ๐Ÿ™‚

The actual times of the Pray Tell discussions were chosen to NOT compete with NPM events. At the convention there is a lot going on, and frankly you might want to catch the Pray Tell programming afterwards rather than try to wedge it in. But if you have internet access, and you want to do it, you can see them in real time and chime in on the blog discussion.

        You are welcome, Linda!

Linda, and any other Pray Tell readers who may be coming to the NPM convention, please do come over and say hello if you can manage it. I’d enjoy meeting you in person!

FYI, I’m going to be at the World Library Publications booth signing my book, Liturgy: Sacrosanctum Concilium, on Tuesday @ noon, and Wednesday @ 4:30. If you don’t see me after my keynote you can catch up with me there.

Count on it, Rita! See you then!!

  7. Dave Jaronowski

Thanks for the answer Rita. That is, in a way, good news, because as you point out it might be better to watch them archived later on than fit them into an already packed convention week.

    Thanks!

  8. Paul Inwood

Anthony, do we know who else is on the Wednesday roundtable apart from you and me?

      @Paul Inwood – comment #10:
Rachelle Kramer, who is head of NPM’s Youth Section, will join you and me, and I’m still waiting for confirmation of our fourth person.

And Monday night I’m hosting Joe Balistreri, Sr. Kathleen Harmon, and Fr. Peter Funk OSB.
