Rachel Held Evans, an Easter reflection over an unusual Lenten discipline

If Lent were a competitive sport, Rachel Held Evans, author of the bestselling and delightful book A Year of Biblical Womanhood, would win this year. She gets points for creativity, vulnerability, simplicity, and a distinctly Paschal practice.

Luckily, Lent, like origami, isn’t a competitive sport, but a cooperative endeavor of becoming more and more the body of Christ. So go reap the fruit she (and her friends – and her enemies!) have sown.

I’ve finally ordered the book–I’ve been enjoying her blog for a while, but this particular post floored me.
