A procession, paper, and poise

Here isย  Evensong in Westminster Abbey with Archbishop Williams and Pope Benedict XVI. Go to 16:07 and watch for the shorter of the two Sisters of the Church whoย  drops a sheet of paper in procession. Then watch the liturgcial grace of the taller Sistersย when she too drops a sheet of paper.

    Ha! Graceful, indeed.

I would be interested in how the order of procession is created. I imagine there would need to be sensitivity to both Roman Catholic and Anglican prelates and where they come in order. I noticed that the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury were walking side-by-side. Where do the rest of the gang fit in behind? Equal Roman Catholic and Anglican side-by-side or stacked every other in a single file. Hmm…

I saw Sister’s very smooth move and thought, “I love this woman!”
