This seems apropos.
“The perception of church is often that it is rusting away in antiquated buildings and not in touch with the world around us, but this is a statement that we’re prepared to embrace the technological revolution.”
So instead of actually being in touch with the world, they’ll “embrace” each other and the world through Twitter? Sorry, I’m not impressed. This seems more like using social media as a gimmick, rather than as a real means of evangelization.
More about the service can be found on YouTube, the event’s web site, and @TimRossMinister. He also has a blog.
