The start date for the new translation of the Liturgy of the Hours has been announced as Ash Wednesday 2027. I will be glad to get rid of the stack of books I’ve been using for the Office. Since this information is coming from one of the two designated publishers it is surely credible, but in light of past experience of rumors of the imminent arrival of the Breviary, I’m a little inclined to follow our Lord’s injunction from this coming Sunday’s Gospel: “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying…’The time has come.’ Do not follow them!”
