Joel Wentz is concerned about crossing the fine line between worship that arouses our emotions &#8212; and thus our commitment &#8212; and worship planned to manipulate our emotions. His exploration of the Biblical narrative of Nehemiah 8 also touches on the importance of a liturgical calendar in establishing our worship patterns (and the emotions associated).<\/p>\n<p>What do you think is the role of the emotions in the worship of your tradition?
