In 2006 these feasts together with Corpus Christi were moved to the nearest Sunday. A petition calling for the feast days to be reinstated attracted more than 500 signatures and was presented to Archbishop Nichols in 2009. &#8220;Bishops have gone away ready to listen to the views of their priests and their people,&#8221;
