That was my favorite line from the homily\/sermon, btw, from last Friday’s liturgy at Westminster Abbey. As a Catholic liturgist, I was interested in a lot more than what the Duchess of Cambridge would be wearing (but what was that glued to Princess Beatrice’s forehead?!). Overall, I thought the liturgy was a fine example of many good liturgical principles. It had one of the best-proclaimed readings I’ve heard at any wedding. (And it inadvertently boosted traffic to this site<\/a>.) And I loved the Ubi caritas<\/em> nod at the end of one of the commissioned anthems. Not being familiar with Anglican liturgy, I was surprised that the marriage ritual happened first, followed by everything else. Rev.
