Fergus Ryan<\/strong> discusses ritual music in light of earlier experiences of singing the liturgy. Dr.\u00a0Fergus Ryan,\u00a0OP<\/strong>\u00a0is an Irish Dominican and invited lecturer\u202fat the Pontifical Liturgical Institute in Rome from which he received his licence and doctoral degrees. His doctoral\u202fthesis examined the influence the dialogue Mass had on the Roman Missal\u00a0promulgated\u00a0after Vatican II (published by Libreria\u00a0Editrice\u00a0Vaticana SKU\/ISBN 9788826605968). He has lived in a variety of Western and Central European countries for studies and work, and his research has been published in scientific journals in half a dozen countries.
