Jeremy Driscoll, OSB, monk of Mount Angel Abbey in Oregon, spoke to the priests of the archdiocese of Portland on the new missal translation this past October.\u00a0Fr. Jeremy&#8217;s\u00a0views are important because he is a member of the <em>Vox Clara<\/em> commission which advises the Congregation for Divine Worship in\u00a0its approval of translations submitted by national bishops&#8217; conferences. Fr. Jeremy is a brilliant scholar, and the case he makes here for the new translation is perhaps the strongest and most convincing I have found.<\/p>\n<p>I have my own thoughts about Fr. Jeremy&#8217;s address.
