{"id":69604,"date":"2026-02-20T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-20T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=69604"},"modified":"2026-02-19T09:16:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T15:16:54","slug":"liturgy-in-focus-sacred-signs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/20\/liturgy-in-focus-sacred-signs\/","title":{"rendered":"Liturgy in Focus \u2013 Sacred Signs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>By Staff, February 20, 2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our friends at the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/dli.institute\/wp\/startseite-institut\/\">Deutsches Liturgisches Institut<\/a> <\/em>in Trier, Germany continue their pastoral outreach this Lent with an upcoming lecture series (in German!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lectures are free of charge, and are offered in person and virtually!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Lent, as part of the ongoing \u201cLiturgy Insights\u201d series, the lectures will focus on signs of the season: from the sign of the cross and the folding of hands to the ashes, palm branches, and Easter candle, to the breaking of bread and the walk to Emmaus.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the spirit of Romano Guardini, the lectures will explore the origin and meaning of these &#8220;sacred signs&#8221; and reveal how we can perceive them more consciously and perform them with both heart and mind.
