Sacra Liturgia non explet totam actionem Ecclesiae; nam antequam homines ad Liturgiam accedere possint, necesse est ut ad fidem et conversionem vocentur: \u201cQuomodo invocabunt in quem non crediderunt? Aut quomodo credent ei quem non audierunt? Quomodo autem audient sine praedicante? Quomodo vero praedicabunt nisi mittantur?\u201d (Rom 10,14-15).<\/strong><br><strong>Quare Ecclesia non credentibus praeconium salutis annuntiat, ut omnes homines solum Deum verum et quem misit Iesum Christum cognoscant et a viis suis convertantur, paenitentiam agentes (24). Credentibus vero semper fidem et paenitentiam praedicare debet, eos praeterea debet ad Sacramenta disponere, docere servare omnia quaecumque mandavit Christus (25), et allicere ad omnia opera caritatis, pietatis et apostolatus, quibus operibus manifestum fiat christifideles de hoc mundo quidem non esse, sed tamen esse lucem mundi eosdemque Patrem glorificare coram hominibus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traducci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol de la p\u00e1gina oficial del Vaticano:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>La Liturgia no es la \u00fanica actividad de la Iglesia<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vatican.va\/archive\/hist_councils\/ii_vatican_council\/documents\/vat-ii_const_19631204_sacrosanctum-concilium_sp.html\"><em>9.<\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;La sagrada Liturgia no agota toda la actividad de la Iglesia, pues para que los hombres puedan llegar a la Liturgia es necesario que antes sean llamados a la fe y a la conversi\u00f3n: \u201c\u00bfC\u00f3mo invocar\u00e1n a Aquel en quien no han cre\u00eddo? \u00bfO c\u00f3mo creer\u00e1n en \u00c9l sin haber o\u00eddo de \u00c9l? \u00bfY c\u00f3mo oir\u00e1n si nadie les predica? \u00bfY c\u00f3mo predicar\u00e1n si no son enviados?\u201d (Rom., 10,14-15). Por eso, a los no creyentes la Iglesia proclama el mensaje de salvaci\u00f3n para que todos los hombres conozcan al \u00fanico Dios verdadero y a su enviado Jesucristo, y se conviertan de sus caminos haciendo penitencia. Y a los creyentes les debe predicar continuamente la fe y la penitencia, y debe prepararlos, adem\u00e1s, para los Sacramentos, ense\u00f1arles a cumplir todo cuanto mand\u00f3 Cristo y estimularlos a toda clase de obras de caridad, piedad y apostolado, para que se ponga de manifiesto que los fieles, sin ser de este mundo, son la luz del mundo y dan gloria al Padre delante de los hombres.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los art\u00edculos del 9 al 13 describen con mayor precisi\u00f3n la relaci\u00f3n entre la liturgia y otras acciones eclesiales. El antecedente inmediato de este art\u00edculo es el discurso de P\u00edo XII en el Congreso Internacional de Liturgia Pastoral de 1956, celebrado en As\u00eds y Roma, donde el Pont\u00edfice rechaz\u00f3 cualquier idea de que la liturgia pudiera o debiera absorber todas las dem\u00e1s funciones y acciones de la Iglesia. Si bien el presente art\u00edculo retoma la ense\u00f1anza de P\u00edo XII, la sit\u00faa en un nuevo contexto: la acci\u00f3n eclesial dirigida a los no creyentes (evangelizaci\u00f3n y catequesis) y a los creyentes (catequesis sacramental y moral unida a las obras de caridad) se orienta hacia la liturgia como fuente y culmen, lo cual se expondr\u00e1 expl\u00edcitamente en el art\u00edculo 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Michael Joncas<\/strong>, ordenado sacerdote en 1980 en la Arquidi\u00f3cesis de St. Paul-Minneapolis, Minnesota, el Padre (Jan) Michael Joncas es licenciado en Filolog\u00eda Inglesa por el (entonces) College of St. Thomas en St. Paul, Minnesota, y en Estudios Lit\u00fargicos por la Universidad de Notre Dame, Indiana, y el Pontificio Instituto Lit\u00fargico del Ateneo S. Anselmo en Roma. Ha ejercido como vicario parroquial, capell\u00e1n universitario y administrador parroquial (p\u00e1rroco). Es autor de seis libros y m\u00e1s de doscientos cincuenta art\u00edculos y rese\u00f1as en revistas como Worship, Ecclesia Orans y Questions Liturgiques. Ha compuesto y arreglado m\u00e1s de 300 piezas de m\u00fasica lit\u00fargica.
