Desea, adem\u00e1s, que, si fuere necesario, sean \u00edntegramente revisados con prudencia, de acuerdo con la sana tradici\u00f3n, y reciban nuevo vigor, teniendo en cuenta las circunstancias y necesidades de hoy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Siguiendo al art\u00edculo 3, este art\u00edculo declara que todos los ritos cat\u00f3licos actualmente reconocidos comparten una igualdad fundamental de honor, que deben ser valorados, promovidos y fomentados al igual que el rito romano, y que, si estos ritos se renuevan, dicha renovaci\u00f3n debe realizarse a la luz de su propia tradici\u00f3n aut\u00e9ntica para que resulten significativos para los fieles contempor\u00e1neos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En primer lugar, cabe se\u00f1alar que el borrador original se refer\u00eda a todos los ritos \u201cvigentes\u201d (legalmente en uso), pero esto se modific\u00f3 a \u201creconocidos\u201d (legalmente admitidos) para mantener abierta la posibilidad del desarrollo de nuevos ritos. En segundo lugar, el Concilio rechaza expl\u00edcitamente la opini\u00f3n de que el rito utilizado por la Iglesia romana, cuyo obispo goza de primac\u00eda universal, fuera tambi\u00e9n preeminente entre los dem\u00e1s ritos cat\u00f3licos; en la pr\u00e1ctica, esto hab\u00eda dado lugar a numerosos intentos de \u201clatinizar\u201d algunos de los ritos orientales. Finalmente, corresponde a las autoridades competentes de los propios ritos orientales determinar si sus ritos necesitan renovaci\u00f3n y en qu\u00e9 medida, a la luz de los principios articulados en la Constituci\u00f3n sobre la Sagrada Liturgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conozco en cierta medida la renovaci\u00f3n posterior al Concilio Vaticano II del rito maronita (propio de las di\u00f3cesis del L\u00edbano y las comunidades libanesas), que ha intentado eliminar algunas de las influencias latinas en su liturgia y restaurar su patrimonio lit\u00fargico.
