{"id":68943,"date":"2025-12-24T08:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T14:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=68943"},"modified":"2026-01-22T08:33:45","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T14:33:45","slug":"60-second-sermons-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/24\/60-second-sermons-8\/","title":{"rendered":"60-Second Sermons"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">By Pastor Steve Greene, December 24, 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Jesus was wrapped in prophecy, in history, and in mystery.&#8221; Pastor Steve offers a powerful insight into our Lord and Savior, born in the world and in our hearts at Christmastime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"60ish-Second Sermons - Pastor Steve Green, Anglican Pastor\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VghnMJdj_ew?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/john\/1?1\"><strong>John 1:1-5, 9-14<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the beginning was the Word,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and the Word was with God,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and the Word was God.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;He was in the beginning with God.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;All things came to be through him,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and without him nothing came to be.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;What came to be through him was life,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and this life was the light of the human race;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;the light shines in the darkness,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and the darkness has not overcome it.<br>The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;He was in the world,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and the world came to be through him,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;but the world did not know him.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;He came to what was his own,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;but his own people did not accept him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But to those who did accept him<br>he gave power to become children of God,&nbsp;<br>to those who believe in his name,&nbsp;<br>who were born not by natural generation&nbsp;<br>nor by human choice nor by a man\u2019s decision&nbsp;<br>but of God.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;And the Word became flesh<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and made his dwelling among us,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;and we saw his glory,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;the glory as of the Father\u2019s only Son,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;full of grace and truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Steve Greene<\/strong> is the Pastor of Holy Trinity Anglican Church (Lucan) and St. James Chapel of Ease (Clandeboye), both in Ontario, Canada.  <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STEVE GREENE &#8212; MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
