{"id":68938,"date":"2026-01-01T08:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-01T14:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=68938"},"modified":"2026-01-21T09:51:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T15:51:07","slug":"60-second-sermons-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2026\/01\/01\/60-second-sermons-7\/","title":{"rendered":"60-Second Sermons"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">By Lexi Torres, January 1, 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lexi Torres, a first year Masters of Divinity candidate at Saint John&#8217;s School of Theology, shares that the Blessed Virgin Mary shows us the highest model of how to peacefully ponder every encounter we have, even the little ones that may not seem to matter, in and amongst the fast-paced world we live in. \u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"60-Second Sermons - Lexi Torres, SOT\/Sem MDiv Candidate\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cdnMmbU07QI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/luke\/2?16\"><strong>Luke 2:16-21<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shepherds went in haste to Bethlehem and found Mary and Joseph, \u00a0<br>and the infant lying in the manger.<br>When they saw this, \u00a0<br>they made known the message \u00a0<br>that had been told them about this child.<br>All who heard it were amazed \u00a0<br>by what had been told them by the shepherds.<br>And Mary kept all these things, \u00a0<br>reflecting on them in her heart.<br>Then the shepherds returned, \u00a0<br>glorifying and praising God \u00a0<br>for all they had heard and seen, \u00a0<br>just as it had been told to them. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When eight days were completed for his circumcision, &nbsp;<br>he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel &nbsp;<br>before he was conceived in the womb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Lexi Torres<\/strong> is a 1st year Masters of Divinity candidate at Saint John&#8217;s School of Theology.
