November 6, 2022 : 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The antiphon is a meditation on the final verse of today\u2019s 1st Reading (2 Maccabees 7:14):<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is my choice to die at the hands of men
\nwith the hope God gives of being raised up by him;
\nbut for you, there will be no resurrection to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jesus echoes this at the end of the Gospel when he refers to<\/span><\/p>\n

the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob;
\nand he is not God of the dead, but of the living,
\nfor to him all are alive.<\/p>\n

The psalm verses today are superimposed on the antiphon, but chanted on a single note except for the final one. The verses come from Psalm 105.<\/span><\/p>\n
