\"\"<\/p>\n

Another multi-purpose antiphon (see last Sunday\u2019s) with strong reminiscences of the Emmaus story (\u201cDid not our hearts burn within us as he spoke to us?\u201d). Today, the springboard is Luke 12:49 from the beginning of the Gospel reading (\u201cI have come to set the earth on fire\u201d) with Hebrews 12:2 from the 2nd Reading (\u201cwhile keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus\u201d). May our hearts burn within us as we share in the breaking of the bread!<\/p>\n

The antiphon may be sung as a round, as indicated. Today\u2019s psalm verses are Ps 130, suggested by the ICEL 1998 Antiphonal<\/em> and 2012 Antiphonary<\/em>.<\/p>\n
