The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psallite<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> composers accordingly looked elsewhere, to Psalm 91, the psalm in time of trial and temptation, one of the default psalms of the Lenten season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psalm 91 opens with our call: \u201cMy refuge, my stronghold, my God in whom I trust\u201d (verse 2). Psalm 91 ends with God\u2019s response (the antiphon), in the NRSV translation:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Those who love me, I will deliver;<br \/>\nI will protect those who know my name.<br \/>\nWhen they call to me, I will answer them;<br \/>\nI will be with them in trouble,<br \/>\nI will rescue them and honor them.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This communion psalm (Psalm 91 in its entirety) promises and shows that in communion God delivers, protects, answers, and is with those who know his name, the name given to Moses in the first reading. The name of God is \u201cI shall be there for you as who I am shall I be there for you\u201d (John Courtney Murray).
