\"\"<\/p>\n

To accompany these readings about the last times, today\u2019s antiphon paraphrases Jesus\u2019s words at the end of the Gospel reading:<\/span><\/p>\n

Heaven and earth will pass away,
\nbut my words will not pass away. (Mark 13:31)<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s 1st Reading ends with these words:<\/span><\/p>\n

But the wise shall shine brightly
\nlike the splendor of the firmament,
\nand those who lead the many to justice
\nshall be like the stars forever. (Daniel 12:3)<\/p>\n

Accordingly, the psalm verses are taken from Ps 119(118), a traditional source for communion psalms, beginning:<\/span><\/p>\n

Your word is a lamp for my steps
\nand a light for my path.
\nI have sworn and made up my mind
\nTo obey your decrees. (Ps 119:105-106)<\/p>\n
