Today\u2019s antiphon is a composite, drawing inspiration from the Gospel:<\/p>\n

Whoever comes to me will never hunger,
\nand whoever believes in me will never thirst. (John 6:35)<\/p>\n

and, in line with the selected psalm verses (see below):<\/p>\n

They feast on the riches of your house;
\nthey drink from the stream of your delight. (Ps 36:8)<\/p>\n

The assumption is that communicants will receive under both kinds, something which alas is not currently advisable.<\/p>\n

Following the suggestions in the 1998 Antiphonal and 2012 Antiphonary, psalm verses are taken from Ps 36:6-11 and Wisdom 16:20-21, a rich banquet of eucharistic spirituality.<\/p>\n

The setting makes use of quarter-refrains for greater integration of the assembly into this Communion processional chant.<\/p>\n
