\"\"<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s antiphon comes directly from the Gospel reading:<\/p>\n

I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower (Jn 15:1)<\/p>\n

and<\/p>\n

I am the vine, you are the branches.
\nWhoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit. (Jn 15:5)<\/p>\n

as reflected in the Communion antiphon of the day. Following the suggestion in the 1998 Antiphonal <\/em>and 2012 Antiphonary<\/em>, verses are taken from Ps 79(80).<\/p>\n

As we sing this antiphon in the Communion procession, we may recall other phrases from the Gospel reading: \u201cRemain in me, as I remain in you\u201d and \u201cWithout me you can do nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
