{"id":5058,"date":"2010-11-03T11:30:53","date_gmt":"2010-11-03T16:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=5058"},"modified":"2011-03-07T20:23:40","modified_gmt":"2011-03-08T02:23:40","slug":"a-tale-of-two-prefaces-i-and-ii-advent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2010\/11\/03\/a-tale-of-two-prefaces-i-and-ii-advent\/","title":{"rendered":"A Tale of Two Prefaces: I and II Advent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Editor&#8217;s note: As part of a series, Xavier Rindfleisch continues to examine the problems in the 2010 Received Text of the new English missal.\u00a0The Received Text\u00a0is the final text which the Congregation for Divine Worship approved and presented to Pope Benedict XVI, based on the advice of Vox Clara, and which Cardinal George has approved for use in the US beginning Advent 2011. Fortunately, this final text is undergoing further revision in Rome, but we did not yet know whether or not\u00a0these revisions\u00a0will be\u00a0adequate to\u00a0address the massive problems in it.
