Over the past forty years or more, Protestant and Catholic churches have undertaken a sustained and shared effort at the reform and renewal of Christian worship. Our Catholic brothers and sisters, long accustomed to an emphasis on Holy Communion, have given renewed attention to the place of Scripture and preaching in worship.
