There is nothing beautiful in martyrdom. Nothing at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In several\nhistorical waves the Latin church of Western Europe adopted traditions from the\ncity of Rome, and the veneration of the deacon Lawrence from the 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\ncentury was one of them.
