Unlike on Trinity Sunday no new introit was created. Instead the\nChurch used the introit from Pentecost Monday, and still does so in our days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using a\nPentecost chant for Corpus Christi is a beautiful reminder that the Eucharistic\nmatter does not make a stand against the Word or the Spirit. God gives many\ndifferent sorts of \u201cbread\u201d and \u201cwine\u201d so that we can live. Biblical stories,\nmetaphors and symbolic liturgical experiences are no rivals to each other \u2013\nthey complement each other.
