And since my personal approach has not changed since then, here are my thoughts again:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u201cjoy\u201d of this chant lies in its 3<sup>rd<\/sup> mode, which is often used for exuberant messages \u2013 not always easy to sing, to say the least in the name of cantors suffering the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> mode. The highest pitches can be found in <em>usque ad extremum terrae<\/em> (\u201cto the end of the earth\u201d), and all those high notes make the joy spreading over the world heard.
