Colorado businesswoman\u00a0Theresa Lay is selling Communion in pill form<\/a>. It’s for people travelling, or perhaps people in the military.\u00a0One pill is made of matzo bread powder, the other of red wine extract.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Apparently it’s ecumenical:\u00a0“Theresa says the pill isn\u2019t associated with any denomination, it doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re Protestant or Catholic.”<\/p>\n

I suppose some purists will worry about details – a community<\/em>\u00a0 to share the sacrament,\u00a0sign value<\/em> of a meal with breaking of the bread and pouring of the wine, that sort of thing.<\/p>\n

But this part sounds right. Lay says,\u00a0\u201cI believe communion brings hope and healing to the world. It\u2019s been 2,000 years since the last supper and it\u2019s new every time someone celebrates.\u201d<\/p>\n
