Here’s a highly interesting video from a presentation that got very good reviews from participants. The occasion was a recent “Lunchtime Conversation” at Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary with Walter Tambor,<\/strong> who does contemporary and world music liturgy at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

Our liturgical music masters program at Saint John’s has a strong emphasis on organ, classical choral music, and Gregorian Chant. But we’re very aware\u00a0that our graduates will serve in an increasingly diverse church and\u00a0will need to have basic competence in a broad range of musical styles.<\/p>\n

As part of the Vital Worship grant Saint John’s School of Theology received<\/a>\u00a0from the Calvin Institute of Worship, Walter Tambor was in residence to speak at this luncheon, work with our Chapel Choir, and lead us in our weekly grad school worship service.
