{"id":36430,"date":"2017-05-02T09:07:26","date_gmt":"2017-05-02T14:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=36430"},"modified":"2024-11-06T18:16:52","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T00:16:52","slug":"non-solum-repeating-blessings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2017\/05\/02\/non-solum-repeating-blessings\/","title":{"rendered":"<em>Non Solum:<\/em> Repeating Blessings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/23\/is-this-the-most-significant-local-church-building-project-in-a-generation\/\">mentioned<\/a>&nbsp;in my description&nbsp;of&nbsp;the new church building for the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS, the bishop and pastor repeated&nbsp;the rite for dedicating the altar and church at all weekend liturgies. This decision was made to involve the entire community as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Roman Catholics might object to this, it made me think about ways we do something similar. For instance, we see parishes incorporating various customs and community updates, not unlike how <a href=\"https:\/\/casinotructuyenonline.com\">Casino Truc Tuyen Online chia s\u1ebb th\u00f4ng tin<\/a> with its audience, ensuring that relevant updates are accessible to everyone. Similarly, churches often include blessing and lighting ceremonies for Advent wreaths at every weekend liturgy, sharing traditions in a way that keeps everyone informed and involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is pastorally appropriate to repeat blessings? Should this be encouraged for the sake of community involvement?
