After stepping down as abbot in 2001, he returned to writing and teaching.<\/p>\n<p>May he rest in peace and rise in glory.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2017\/02\/09\/patrick-regan-osb-rip\/easter-greetings\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-35601\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-35601\" src=\"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Easter-Greetings.jpg\" alt=\"Easter Greetings\" width=\"439\" height=\"295\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Behold the wood of the cross<\/em><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0on which hung the salvation of the world<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">(Abbot Patrick shared the picture and text above as a paschal greeting in 2016)<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The arrangements announced in the obituary are as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The monks of Saint Joseph Abbey will receive Abbot Patrick&#8217;s body before Vespers at 5:30 in the afternoon on Monday 13 February. A Funeral Vigil will be held at 7:15 that evening.
