{"id":34119,"date":"2016-10-01T20:50:54","date_gmt":"2016-10-02T01:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=34119"},"modified":"2016-10-02T09:50:58","modified_gmt":"2016-10-02T14:50:58","slug":"new-mitre-in-georgia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2016\/10\/01\/new-mitre-in-georgia\/","title":{"rendered":"New Mitre in Georgia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the Pope wore a mitre while celebrating Mass in Georgia that was somewhat unusual.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-34121 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/a4f98c05ff61678f38b2e025bd71ee26-690x450.jpeg\" alt=\"a4f98c05ff61678f38b2e025bd71ee26-690x450\" width=\"300\" height=\"196\" \/>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/images.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-34120 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/images.jpeg\" alt=\"images\" width=\"284\" height=\"178\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll be the first to admit that I could not find who made these vestments, or why this design was chosen. Other than the tiny &gt;1% Roman Catholic Church,\u00a0the dominant Georgian Orthodox and small Armenian Church presence are the main other forms of Christianity in the country.
