He has been Associate Senior Editor at GIA since 2014. In his new position he will be responsible for setting the overall direction of GIA&#8217;s sacred music publications. &#8220;I am honored to be entrusted with this position,&#8221; he said, noting that it will afford him the opportunity to work with GIA composers even more closely.<\/p>\n<p>David Anderson, who has served as Senior Editor for the past five years, will continue to work as Editor-at-Large for GIA while serving as music director of Ascension parish in Oak Park IL, and pursing post-graduate studies at CTU as a Bernardin scholar.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations and good luck to both Michael and David!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Sihavy appointed Senior Editor at GIA.
