{"id":32581,"date":"2016-03-13T13:47:46","date_gmt":"2016-03-13T18:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=32581"},"modified":"2016-03-13T13:59:48","modified_gmt":"2016-03-13T18:59:48","slug":"irish-missal-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2016\/03\/13\/irish-missal-published\/","title":{"rendered":"Irish Missal Published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As <em>The Catholic Herald<\/em> reports, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicherald.co.uk\/news\/2016\/03\/10\/bishops-hail-hugely-significant-irish-language-missal\/\" target=\"_blank\">the newly translated missal in the Irish language will be published soon<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Irish bishops&#8217; website says this about <em>An Leabhar Aifrinn R\u00f3mh\u00e1nach:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To coincide with Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish language week), bishops wish to announce the publication later in the year by Veritas, Ireland&#8217;s leading publisher of liturgical and Church resources, of an altar edition of the new Roman Missal in Irish &#8212; An Leabhar Aifrinn R\u00f3mh\u00e1nach. This is a unique publication, and is hugely significant not only for the Church in Ireland, but for all who cherish our culture and heritage, particularly the Irish language. An Leabhar Aifrinn R\u00f3mh\u00e1nach will serve those who celebrate the liturgy in Irish and will help to preserve the Irish language as a living language for worship.
