Today it all begins: nearly\u00a02,000 people are gathering in Grand Rapids, Michigan for this year’s convention, “Called to Joy and Hope: Let the Servant Church Arise.<\/a>”<\/p>\n

Pray Tell<\/em> is there with daily live broadcasts.\u00a0Today at 1:30 pm<\/strong> is the opening ceremony and the plenum address “Progressive the Reform” by\u00a0Richard Fragomeni. Now be careful – that’s 12:30 pm back in Lake Wobegon, because at NPM we’re in the same time zone as out east. Check what time zone you’re in. I believe on the Left Coast show time is 10:30 am today, yes?<\/p>\n

See the yellow tab above,\u00a0Pray Tell Live<\/a>,<\/strong><\/span> for a full listing of this week’s broadcasts. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the first PTB panel discussion – with publishers. And there’s an NPM plenum which is a panel Rufino Zaragoza, Pedro Rubalcava, Diana Macalintal, and Barbara Tracey.<\/p>\n

NPM continues to grow and develop. New this year is a plenum which is a panel (see above.) Also new is a convention daily Mass on Tuesday at 8am in the convention hall (Fr. Rick Hilgartner presiding). Wednesday and Friday you still have to get up for a 7am Mass and walk to a neighboring church for it. Next thing you know, if things keep changing, NPM will be having a Holy Hour in the convention hall – let’s see what happens in Houston next year. Wonder if they’ll ever have a bilingual plenum, Spanish\/English? – let’s see what happens in Houston next year.<\/p>\n

This year the entire convention book is online here<\/a>. On page 169 is the big convention Eucharist Thursday night. As you see, here’s the music for it:
