Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone has given us more insight into the new Benedict XVI Institute for Sacred Music and Divine Worship at St. Patrick\u2019s Seminary & University in Menlo Park<\/a> during its launch on the eve of the feast of the Epiphany.<\/p>\n

San Francisco: new \u201cBenedict XVI Institute for Sacred Music and Divine Worship\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

According to Archbishop Cordileone, the primary aim of the institute is to \u201creclaim the sense of the sacred.\u201d By invoking the name of Benedict XVI in its title the institute has already caused quite a bit of stir and speculation in the non-traditionalist environment of San Francisco. This has been further fueled by the style of Archbishop Cordileone himself. The jury is still out on the institute. It will be interesting to see what comes out of the institute in the coming months.<\/p>\n
