Mark Francis on April 8, 2013.\u00a0 This is one of a series of talks in the course &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stanfordvatican2.net\/syllabus\/presenters\/april-8-mark-francis.html\" target=\"_blank\">Vatican II: Catholicism Meets Modernity<\/a>.&#8221; The title is &#8220;Vatican II Class: Reforming the Church through Liturgy: The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/X8CofbPXFAs?feature=player_detailpage\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"532\" height=\"285\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The reform of the liturgy set in motion by the first document of the Second Vatican Council, Sacrosanctum Concilium, was a harbinger of the renewal announced by later documents of the Council especially those that explored the nature and mission of the Church, the place of the Bible in Christian life, ecumenism and evangelization.
