{"id":20043,"date":"2013-06-07T12:38:13","date_gmt":"2013-06-07T18:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=20043"},"modified":"2013-06-09T16:49:23","modified_gmt":"2013-06-09T22:49:23","slug":"20043","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2013\/06\/07\/20043\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacra Liturgia 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Vatican Insider <\/em>has published an interview with\u00a0the Bishop of Fr\u00e9jus-Toulon, Dominique Rey, the main organizer of <em>Sacra Liturgia 2013<\/em>, an international conference to be held in Rome, June 25-28.<\/p>\n<p>Several of his remarks attempt to assuage worries that under Pope Francis the leadership in Rome will take a different direction in liturgy than it had under Pope Benedict.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Do you think the path of liturgical renewal set out by Pope Benedict can continue under Francis? How?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sacred Liturgy was one of the great themes of Pope Benedict\u2019s pontificate, and he did much to teach us about the ars celebrandi and to allow the riches of the old liturgy once again to be available freely. We owe him a lot, and in some ways our conference will be a tribute to his work.<\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis does not have to do Pope Benedict\u2019s work all over again.
